SAINT JAMES - St. James avenged an earlier defeat to Maret by capturing a 71-59 Mid Atlantic Conference victory over the Frogs (3-4, 2-2) on Wednesday.

Mike Russ had 21 points, eight rebounds and three assists for St. James (6-4, 1-2), while T.K. Washington had 15 points and 13 rebounds and Ben Farquhar had 17 points, including four 3-pointers.

"It was a nice win since they beat us at their place (56-53) after we had an 11-point lead entering the fourth quarter," St. James coach Mike Brooks said.

St. James is now 6-4 overall and 1-2 in conference play.

No. 2 Greencastle 56, Shippensburg 48

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Dameatric Scott had 24 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Blue Devils, who remained unbeaten in the Mid-Penn Capital.


Levi Holman had nine points and nine rebounds for Greencastle (14-1, 6-0).

Craig VanScyoc scored a game-high 26 points and Whit Crabtree added 11 points for Shippensburg (8-4, 2-3).

No. 3 Martinsburg 67, Mercersburg 46

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Isaac Thornton had 20 points, three steals and three assists to lead Martinsburg past Mercersburg Academy (2-5) in the Blue Storm's first game since Dec. 15.

Inshan Mohamed had 16 points for the Bulldogs (9-1), while Cameron Cato had 10 points and Brandon Cato had seven points, five assists and four steals.

No. 5 Musselman 54, Petersburg 43

PETERSBURG, W.Va. - J.D. Daniels scored 15 points to lead Musselman over Petersburg.

Jonathan Alvarez had 12 points and Diego Pons had 11 points for the Applemen (9-1).

Matt Hahn scored 15 points, while Derek Miller added 10 points for Petersburg (4-4).

Clear Spring 46, Southern Fulton 44

WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - Keith Gilchrist had 11 points and nine assists to help Clear Spring edge Southern Fulton.

Bret Turner had eight points, Kyle Crist had six points and six steals and Cody Englehart had four blocks for the Blazers (7-2).

Jake McCarthy and Lucas Mellott each scored 15 points for Southern Fulton (9-5).

Smithsburg 54, Hancock 33

SMITHSBURG, Md. - Josh Edwards connected on all four of his 3-point shots and finished with a team-high 14 points for Smithsburg.

Dan Rishell had 13 points, seven rebounds and four blocks and Steve Whitt scored 12 points for the Leopards (3-6).

Josh Unger led the Panthers (5-5) with 15 points, and Steven Beaver added seven points.

Waynesboro 50, James Buchanan 46

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Terrell Rickard scored a game-high 25 points to lead Waynesboro to a Mid-Penn Capital victory over James Buchanan.

Tim Null added 14 points for the Indians (8-6, 4-2).

Josh McCauley scored 15 of his team-high 17 points for James Buchanan in the second half. Kris Potter and Macke Hall each scored 11 points for the Rockets (5-9, 1-5).

Bishop Walsh 55, Berkeley Spring 48

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Myles Clifford scored 24 points and Kamran Khataian added 18 to lead Bishop Walsh (5-8).

Joseph Wright scored 12 points to lead Berkeley Springs (2-8).


No. 1 Jefferson 68, Millbrook 54

WINCHESTER, Va. - Nicole Himes scored 22 points to lead Jefferson.

Dakea Marshall added 16 points and eight rebounds for the Cougars (10-1), while Aissa Diehl had nine assists.

No. 3 Waynesboro 59James Buchanan 16

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Mallory Wishard's 20 points led Waynesboro in a Mid-Penn Capital defeat of James Buchanan.

Jenna Lininger and Kelsey Wagaman each had five assists for Waynesboro (11-1, 6-0), while Kelsey Rock had six rebounds.

Sarah Harryman led James Buchanan (1-13, 0-6) with six points.

Mercersburg 39, Goretti 32

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Lauren Dobish had 18 points, four steals and four assists as Mercersburg Academy beat St. Maria Goretti.

Jennifer Dillon had eight points and seven rebounds for the Blue Storm (4-4).

Erica DiMercurio and Angie Nevarez each had nine points for the Gaels (8-6).

Liberty 52, Smithsburg 30

ELDERSBURG, Md. - Emily Hargreaves had 10 points and five rebounds for Smithsburg in a loss to Liberty.

Chelsea Hoover had six points and five rebounds, Sara Rishell had six blocks and Gretchen Downey had four steals for the Leopards (5-5).

Caitlyn Poff scored 12 points and Shelby Nemecek had 11 points for Liberty (3-7).

Southern Fulton 46, Chestnut Ridge 44

FISHERTOWN, Pa. - Brooke Whiteside had 11 points, five assists and two steals as Southern Fulton defeated Chestnut Ridge in the Sideling Hill League.

Natasha Bard had 10 points, nine rebounds, three assists and two blocks for the Indians (8-3, 5-2).

Shippensburg 72, Greencastle 39

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Jordyn Beam scored 21 points to help Shippensburg (8-8, 4-2) beat Greencastle in the Mid-Penn Capital.

Rebecca Rider had 14 points to lead Greencastle (2-12, 2-4), and Cali Shroyer grabbed nine rebounds.

Brunswick 56, South 30

BRUNSWICK, Md. - Megan Duckworth scored 12 points and Samantha Murray added nine points for South Hagerstown (0-8).
