Hamilton named to advisory committee

Sarina Hamilton was appointed Tuesday to the Washington County Public Schools facilities and enrollment advisory committee.

The Board of Education voted 7-0 on the appointment.

Assistant Superintendent for School Operations Boyd Michael said there is still one opening on the committee for a representative from the Clear Spring community.

That position was left open after Jacqueline B. Fischer resigned.

Gift from Shifler Electrical accepted

The Washington County Board of Education voted Tuesday to accept a $4,000 gift from Shifler Electrical Associates.

The vote was 7-0.

The money will be spent through the Washington County Public Schools department of information management and instructional technology.
