Offices on the lower level of Robinwood Medical Center remained closed Tuesday after a water main break Monday morning closed many of the offices at the facility east of Hagerstown.
Washington County Health System spokeswoman Maureen Theriault said Tuesday morning that patients should call in advance if the office they need to visit is on the lower level.
Theriault says the break occurred before 7:30 a.m., but a cause was not known Monday afternoon. The break was in Robinwood One, by the red and yellow entrances, which was closed for the day.
Theriault says patients should call their doctors before going to their appointments to be sure their offices are open.
"They are still doing cleanup, so I don't have an idea yet of total damage," she said.
Nancy Hausrath, water operations manager for the Hagerstown Water & Sewer Department, said the city's crew responded to the break. She said the break occurred on a private line.
