Quarter horse group leaders named

The Maryland State Quarter Horse Youth Association's general membership recently met and elected its new 2008 officers and board members.

The election results are as follows: president, Julia Kehoe, Whitehall, Md.; vice president, Katie Reynolds, Freeland, Md.; secretary, Emily Sloan, Monkton, Md.; treasurer, Kim Hiett, Hagerstown; reporter, Spencer Bramble, Queen Anne, Md.; directors, Sarah Herring, Frederick, Md., Marissa Lagna, Parkton, Md.; Christina Ocarzak, Hagerstown, Stephanie Terry, Mount Airy, Md., and Sarah Wiley, West Friendship, Md.

The association is open to any youth wanting to learn more about the American quarter horse. Its parent association is the Maryland State Quarter Horse Association, which is an affiliate of the National American Quarter Horse Association.
