BALTIMORE - Georgetown prospect Henry Sims outscored St. Maria Goretti alone in the first half Sunday to lead Mount St. Joseph to a 64-34 win over the Gaels in a Baltimore Catholic League game.

Sims scored all 12 of his points before halftime, while the Gaels managed only nine points as a team before the break. Goretti (6-7, 2-3) committed 23 turnovers in the game, including 15 in the first half.

"We gave them easy shots, didn't take care of the ball and we didn't defend very well," Goretti coach Cokey Robertson said. "That combination won't win you too many games."

Kevin Breslin had 11 points and seven rebounds for Goretti.

CVCS 60, Heritage 57

FREDERICK, Md. - Scott Levy led a balanced scoring attack with 12 points to help Cumberland Valley Christian edge Heritage Academy in the championship game of the Oriole Classic tournament at Maryland School for the Deaf on Saturday.


Hamilton Stamper had 18 points, 11 rebounds and six blocks for Heritage (8-1) and was named the tournament's MVP. Steven Barthalow had 20 points and was named to the All-Tournament team. Travis Barthalow added 11 points off the bench.

Charles McBeth and Andrew Larson were named to the All-Tournament team for CVCS.

No. 5 Musselman 63, Freedom (Va.) 44

INWOOD, W.Va. - Diego Pons led all players with 23 points as the Applemen bounced back from a one-point loss to No. 1 Hedgesville on Friday with a victory over Freedom on Saturday night.

J.D. Daniels scored 10 points, Logan Holloman had nine and Jon Alvarez added eight for Musselman (8-1).

Troy Dockett led Freedom (3-5) with 19 points.


Heritage Academy 27, CVCS 24

FREDERICK, Md. - Morgan McIntire scored 16 points and grabbed MVP honors as Heritage Academy defeated CVCS in the championship game of the Oriole Classic.

Caroline Clark had eight rebounds, while Brianna Dorsey had seven rebounds, seven steals and made the all tournament team for the Eagles (7-4).

Miranda Payne had 12 points for CVCS (8-3).

Mountain Ridge 60, Boonsboro 56

BOONSBORO - Brynn Arnone had 20 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks as Boonsboro fell to Mountain Ridge on Saturday.

Jamie Bingaman had six point and seven rebounds, Ashley Sullivan-Wolfe had nine points, while Emma Dalton added eight points for the Warriors (5-4).

Brenna Ishler had 12 points for Mountain Ridge (6-2).

Shippensburg 49, Chambersburg 43

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Lacey Cramer scored 19 points to lead Shippensburg (6-8) over Chambersburg on Saturday.

Alice Miller had 12 points, while Kelsey Roman added 11 points for the Trojans (4-8).

Waynesboro 35, Kennard-Dale 31

FAWN GROVE, Pa. - Mallory Wishard had 11 points, seven rebounds and four steals to lead Waynesboro to a non-conference win over Kennard-Dale on Saturday.

Jenna Lininger had four assists for the Maidens (9-1).
