A cab driver was bitten by a man who robbed him at gunpoint Sunday night, Hagerstown police said.
A witness called police at 7:06 p.m. to report a scuffle in a cab that had pulled over in the 600 block of North Prospect Street, Sgt. Chad Woodring said.
The suspect, who showed the driver a small-caliber handgun, got away with about $40 in cash, Woodring said. He was a black male in his 20s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighed about 165 pounds, Woodring said. He was wearing a black skull cap, a black T-shirt and black pants, and ran north on North Prospect Street, Woodring said.
The driver refused treatment for the bite, Woodring said.
