WAYNESBORO, Pa. - A Waynesboro man was killed Friday when his pickup truck crashed on Amsterdam Road, according to a Washington Township Police Department press release.

Jeremy A. Shank, 31, of 13508 Waterloo Road, was pronounced dead at the scene by Franklin County Coroner Jeffrey Conner.

Shank was westbound in a 2001 Ford pickup truck when it crossed into the oncoming lane Friday about 6:30 p.m., police said.

The pickup went off the road and down a hill before striking a fence and trees, police said. The truck ended up on its roof, police said.

Travis L. Shade of 8866 Picadilly Circle in Waynesboro, a passenger in the vehicle, was treated at Waynesboro Hospital. Hospital employees said Saturday that there was no record of Shade being a patient there.
