Waynesboro, Pa. man faces charges in heroin bust

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - A Waynesboro man was charged Thursday with delivery of heroin after an undercover investigation by Pennsylvania State Police.

Joseph Anthony Breymaier, 44, of 18 W. North St., was in Franklin County Jail on $250,000 bail Thursday, a prison official said. Charges of delivery, possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia were filed with Magisterial District Judge Duane Cunningham's office.

Police said between Dec. 10 and Wednesday an undercover officer purchased $1,200 worth of heroin. As a result of the investigation, a search warrant was obtained and the residence was searched Wednesday afternoon, police said.


Police said 20 grams of heroin, $1,840 in cash, a small amount of marijuana, six Percocet tablets and needles were seized during the search.

The police report also named a 39-year-old woman as a suspect, but she was not being held in the jail and no charges had been filed under her name at Cunningham's office.

Man charged with firing gun into home

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The Chambersburg Police Department charged a 23-year-old man with firing a gun into an occupied residence Nov. 24.

Matthew S. Clopper, of 353 Center St., was charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief, police said.

The incident happened shortly before 1 a.m. in the 300 block of Glen Street, police said. Clopper's former girlfriend and her child were in the residence that was fired upon, police said.
