W.Va. shooting victim in critical condition

MARTINSBURG, W.VA. ? A man who was shot in the chest early Thursday was in critical condition at City Hospital in Martinsburg, Berkeley County Sheriff W. Randy Smith said Thursday night.

Smith declined to release the man's name pending a completed investigation.

Investigators were looking for a man who they want to question about the shooting, which happened about 1 a.m. in the area of Needy Road.

Smith was unable to provide the victim's age or place of residence.

The man wanted for questioning is black, between 25 and 30 years old and about 6 feet 2 inches tall. He was described as having short hair, a mustache and goatee, deputies said. He was traveling with a woman in a red or burgundy vehicle believed to be a Ford Taurus, deputies said.
