Money stolen in Trinity House break-in

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Police are investigating a Dec. 28 burglary at Trinity House, 23 N. Potomac St., in which burglars took an undetermined amount of money.

Police responded to the location at 9:39 a.m.

Man charged with firing rifle at car

FREDERICK, Md. - Police say a Frederick man fired a rifle at the tires of a van his wife was driving Monday, according to a news release from the Frederick County Sheriff's Department.

Brian Wages, 30, of the 4700 block of John Draper Road, was charged with one count of first-degree assault, one count of second-degree assault and one count of reckless endangerment, police said.

Police alleged Wages fired two shots from a .30-caliber rifle and struck the passenger-side tires, disabling the vehicle.

Four charged with going 89 mph or faster

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police listed four high-speed violators on Interstate 81 during December.


Lee Qu, 28, of New York City; James Griffin, 34, of Greencastle, Pa.; Robert Jones, 28, of Chambersburg; and Grant McKenna, 23, of Worchester, Pa., were all cited for going 89 mph or faster on the interstate in Franklin County. Jones was clocked at 100 mph, police said.

The police have been releasing names of those cited for speeding at 90 mph or above as part of a pilot program.
