Jan. 22 and Feb. 5 - Farmer Training and Certification for Crop Operations Using Manure and Fertilizer, Washington County Extension Office, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. On day one, you will learn how to write a nutrient management plan for you own operation. Jan. 23 - 4-H Resident Camp Teen Leader Training, Washington County Extension Office, 6:30 p.m. For ages 14 to 18 interested in youth leadership. Student may earn service learning hours. To reach the Washington County Extension office, drive about 7 miles south of Hagerstown from the Interstate 70 exit onto Sharpsburg Pike (Md. 65). The office is in the Washington County Agricultural Education complex.

The Franklin County, Pa., Extension office is at 181 Franklin Farm Lane, Chambersburg, Pa. From Hagerstown, take Interstate 81 north to the U.S. 30 East exit. Take the first road to the left, which is Franklin Farm Lane.

The Jefferson County, W.Va., Extension office is in Suite 3 at 1948 Wiltshire Road, Kearneysville, W.Va. The telephone number is 304-728-7413.
