Sentences handed down in U.S. District Court in W.Va.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - A U.S. District Court judge in Martinsburg handed down the following sentences on Dec. 12, according to a press release from U.S. Attorney Sharon L. Potter:

· Matthew Richard Pack was sentenced to 51 months in prison after pleading guilty to aiding and abetting the theft of 23 firearms from a gun dealer. The theft occurred in April.

Pack, 21, of Martinsburg, pleaded guilty in August to one count in connection with the theft, which occurred April 23 in Hedgesville, W.Va.

· Edwin Allen Harper was sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to distribution of crack cocaine. Harper was arrested in March 2006.

Harper, 30, of Martinsburg, pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting the distribution of crack cocaine in September.

· Thomas Norman Fowler was sentenced to 36 months in prison after pleading guilty in a burglary of a U.S. Post Office in Shepherdstown, W.Va., that occurred in October 2006.

Fowler, 41, of Martinsburg, pleaded guilty in September to one count of burglary in the case.

· Javon Alexander Chase was sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to possession of crack cocaine.

Chase, 24, of Martinsburg, pleaded guilty in September to one count of crack cocaine possession in the case.
