Arthritis center sends dinners to patients' families

December 23, 2007

FREDERICK, Md. - This year, the Arthritis and Osteoporosis Center of Maryland spread holiday cheer by sending holiday dinners to two of their families, those of Mr. and Mrs. John Wright and Elizabeth Baugher.

The dinners were provided so those families could enjoy the holiday season without the stress of cooking. HoneyBaked.com provided the ham dinners with all the trimmings, just in time for the holidays.

"This is a wonderful surprise and I thank Dr. (Nathan) Wei and his staff for their thoughtfulness," John Wright said. Wright's wife was undergoing surgery which required her to remain in the hospital for a week.

Baugher's holiday dinner is scheduled for delivery just before Christmas. She has been an AOC patient for more than 21 years.

"This is an excellent way to kick off the holidays and give back to those patients who have chosen me to take care of them," Wei said. "I wish I could do more and hopefully in the future we can."
