Woman wanted in Philadelphia slaying arrested here



A woman wanted by Philadelphia police in the slaying of her 53-year-old mother was arrested Thursday night near Hagerstown, police said.

Jahina Damon, 31, address unkown, was wanted on murder and arson charges after allegedly shooting Lolita Lee in her Philadelphia home Thursday morning. Damon allegedly fired shots at two other people in the house and set the home on fire, according to a spokesman for the Philadelphia Police Department.

Damon was arrested at Citicorp Credit Services, according to a press release from the Washington County Sheriff's Department.

The sheriff's department received a tip from Hagerstown City Police that Damon was driving a blue Nissan and was at the business Thursday, police said.

Damon was taken to the Washington County Detention Center pending an extradition hearing.

The charges against her include murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault and arson.
