Learning for Life

FREDERICK, Md. - Frederick School of Religion will offer the following classes: Basic Judaism; Bibliodrama: Bible Study as Sacred Play; Lay Reading; Fruit of Blessing, Root of Evil - Money in the Life of Faith; Handel's Messiah - Prophetic Message and Profound Music; Rediscovering Lost Christianities; Presidential Politics and Church/State Separation; Good and Evil; Psalms Singing, Proverbs and Job; Deepening Our Spiritual Lives; and Introduction to Islamic Spirituality, Shari'ah Law and Ethics. Afternoon classes meet from 1 to 3 p.m., evening classes meet from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays, Feb. 4, through March 11. $22 per course, designed for lay persons and clergy. 1.2 continuing education credit. Deafnet Association Inc. will offer the following sign classes:

· Basic I - 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays, Jan. 7 through March 24. $160 per person, includes book and video.

· Basic II - 9 to 11 a.m. Fridays, Jan. 11 through March 28. $80 per person.

· Basic II - 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 8 through March 25. $80 per person.

· Basic IV - 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays, Jan. 9 through March 26. $120 per person.

Beekeeping

KEARNEYSVILLE, W.Va. - Eastern Panhandle Beekeepers Association and Hagerstown Valley Apian Society will present a beekeeping short course for beginners. 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays. West Virginia University Kearneysville Tree Fruit Research and Education Center. A field day will be held on a Saturday after conclusion of the course. $30 if paid by Friday, Feb. 1; $40 at the door. Nature photography seminar

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Wildlife photographers Joe and Mary Ann McDonald will conduct a two-day nature photography seminar. Sponsored by Potomac Valley Nature Photographers. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 22; and 9 a.m. to noon Sunday, March 23.
