Tri-State Civitan Club presents holiday show

December 21, 2007

The Tri-State Civitan Club presented a holiday show Dec. 10 for students in the Marshall Street special education program, clients from Arc of Washington County, Star Community and other groups.

Kevin Brown, the Klown, rode a tricycle greeting everyone and warming up the audience before the show.

Musician Jack Stanton played his guitar and sang Christmas songs as the audience joined in and clapped along.

Marshall Street student R.J. Conway and music teacher Debbie Lesher were called on stage to help twirl plates, to the delight of all. Magician John Dodge brought his magic and ventriloquism show, with "Charlie," the wisecracking duck, producing laughs.

Civitan member Rick Bernier, show coordinator, said the event was made possible by donations from residents and businesses.

The nonprofit club helps people with developmental disabilities.
