Three injured when two cars collide



CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Two vehicles collided Tuesday at the intersection of Technology and Advantage avenues, causing minor injuries, police said.

Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release that Lynaya M. Barnes, 26, of Scotland, Pa., was driving a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire east on Technology Avenue.

At about 7 a.m., Barnes failed to stop at an intersection and her car collided with a 2001 Jeep Cherokee driven by William C. Fulmor, 41, of Cascade, police said.

Barnes' Jeep was heading north on Advantage Avenue.

Police said Barnes was wearing a seat belt and was not hurt.

A 9-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl in her car, who were wearing seat belts, had minor injuries, police said.

A 4-year-old girl who was not in a booster seat was not hurt, police said.

Police did not release the children's names.

Fulmor, who was wearing a seat belt, had minor injuries, police said.

All of the drivers and passengers were taken to Chambersburg Hospital for treatment.




Pa. home burglarized



MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Someone broke into a home in the 14700 block of Fort Loudon Road on Dec. 13, Pennsylvania State Police said.

The burglar pried open a door, ransacked a bedroom and stole a jar of assorted state quarters, police said in a news release.
