Franklin County students light up Christmas

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. ? Students at the Franklin County Career and Technology Center have created an electronic holiday display with lights coordinated to music by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

The display will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20. Santa arrives on a train constructed by Ag Mechanics. Tune radios to 93.7 FM for "Wizards in Winter." The school store will be open. Visitors are asked to donate at least one nonperishable food item.

The display was created by students in the electronics, electrical, HVAC, graphic communications, landscaping and horticulture, and plumbing programs. Students learned about electrical distribution systems, microprocessor-based programming and control circuitry in order to create the display. Students and staff donated the lights and decorative items.
