More than 300 people take a look at Greencastle house tour

December 14, 2007|By ASHLEY HARTMAN

Another event that drew hundreds of people downtown for Heritage Christmas was the annual house tour last Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.

More than 320 people took the tour, which featured five homes along East Baltimore Street as well as the Grace United Church of Christ, Gour said.

Last year, 352 people took the house tour, which was a record, according to Gour.

Gour attributed the decline this year to the weather forecast the morning of Dec. 9, which called for the possibility of freezing rain.

"There have been people who have been taking this tour for years who didn't go," Gour said. "All of that considered, we were very pleased with the amount of people that went - everyone who went loved it."
