Pa. church presents living créche



CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The Presbyterian Church of Falling Spring will present a living crche of the Nativity - a live representation of the manger where Jesus Christ was born - at 7 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday on the front lawn of the church grounds, 221 N. Main St.

The crche will feature live animals and a sound track of scripture and carols at each tableau. Animals present will include sheep, donkeys and alpacas. Free hot chocolate and cookies will be available to passers-by.

The first living crche at Falling Spring was designed and presented under the leadership of the late Rodney Thaine Taylor, pastor emeritus.




Yoga classes offered at Summit Center



CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A six-week yoga class designed for beginners will be held on Tuesdays, beginning Jan. 8 and continuing through Feb. 12, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Summit Health Improvement Center conference rooms.

The six-week session will include: strengthening and balancing movements, breathing techniques and quiet relaxation practices. Gail Grove, registered yoga instructor, will teach all classes.

The Summit Health Improvement Center is in the Summit Health Center at 757 Norland Ave. in Chambersburg. The six-week session costs $60. Call 717-217-6820 to register by Jan. 3.
