Cougars girls pull away from Gaels

Aissa Diehl scored 15 points to lead Jefferson to a 65-31 victory over St. Maria Goretti on Monday night.

Katie Danno added 13 points for the Cougars (3-0). Sarah Spirenburg had 12 points for the Gaels (3-2).

Hedgesville 47, Thomas Johnson 38

FREDERICK, Md. - Brittany Borman scored 17 points as Hedgesville (3-0) beat Thomas Johnson.

Ruthie Wheeler had 14 points for TJ.

Everett 64, Southern Fulton 41

Natasha Bard had 16 points and 13 rebounds for Southern Fulton (3-1) in a loss to Everett.

Amy Miller had 21 points for Everett.

Tussey Mountain 51, McConnellsburg 26

Saxton, Pa. - Alex Stoudnour scored 20 points and Krista Swope added 11 to lead Tussey Mountain (2-4, 1-2).

Courtney McClure had seven points, nine rebounds and three assists for McConnellsburg (3-2, 1-1).

St. James 47, Broadfording 30

SAINT JAMES - Caroline Salisbury had 15 points, seven steals and six rebounds to lead St. James past Broadfording Christian Academy for the Saints' first win of the season.

Heather Lowery had seven points and eight rebounds for the Saints (1-5). Katie Connely scored nine points for the Lions (4-2).

Heritage Academy 56, Faith Christian 26

Morgan McIntire scored 27 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead the Eagles.

Bri Dorsey contributed eight points and a game-high 14 rebounds for Heritage (2-3, 1-2).

Berta Brancato led Faith Christian (2-2, 1-2) with seven points.

McConnellsburg 83, Johnstown Christian 34

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Russell Glazier had 23 points, 10 rebounds and five assists to lead McConnellsburg.

Hunter Homistek added 16 points and four assists for the the Spartans (4-0).

Heritage Academy 64, Faith Christian 32

Hamilton Stamper had 18 points, 12 rebounds and seven blocks to lead Heritage Academy over Faith Christian.

Andrew Harrell had 16 points and six rebounds, while Steven Barthalow added 13 points and eight assists and Andrew Hendershot added 10 points for the Eagles (3-0, 3-0).

H.B. Dunham scored 12 points for the Falcons (1-3, 0-3).
