'Movie happy'

He shrugs, a smile smoldering beneath the surface of his composed face.

Slowly, his face begins to crack.

The right corner of his mouth rising, curling the slightest bit.

The left corner follows and his lips begin to stretch across the lower half.

Before you know it his perfect teeth are showing, his dark eyes start to shine.

He's smiled like this for as long as I can remember.

It's a Marlon Brando smile: brilliant, mysterious, unchanging.

How can I not smile back?
