South's FBLA officers attend conference

December 10, 2007

Officers of the South Hagerstown High School Chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America recently attended the Maryland FBLA Fall Leadership Conference held at the Clarion Inn in Ocean City.

Representing South High Chapter was Chapter President Joe Bender, Freshman/Sophomore Vice President Kathryn Rodenberg, Treasurer Kelly Carson, School Store Treasurer Brittany Funk and Parliamentarian Stephanie Edwards. State Historian Nick Ziolkowski, also the chapter's junior/senior vice president, was among the conference presenters.

Officers participated in a three-hour leadership academy, worked to earn a leadership pin and attended a wide range of workshops.

Officers also networked with other FBLA officers from across the state, as well as business representatives. This conference served as a tool in fulfilling the duties of their office and in providing the leadership skills needed as an adult in a highly competitive job market.
