Harpers Ferry Civil War Roundtable

HARPERS FERRY, W.Va. -Wednesday, Dec. 11, 8 p.m., Hilltop House Hotel, 400 E. Ridge St. Steve Hull and Tom Evans will show a movie they produced about the seven-mile stretch of Hunter Mill Road in Oakton, Va., that changed hands 10 times during the war and how this affected the residents. The meeting is free and open to the public.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -Wednesday, Dec. 12, 6:30 p.m., Trinity United Methodist Church's Trinity Center, 4599 Shepherdstown Road, (W.Va. 45), near Martinsburg. Ellen Murphy will discuss the Audubon Discovery Day Camp Program's mission, learning goals and activities. Last year's camp scholarship recipients will share what they learned from their camp experiences. Families who are considering sending their children to the camp next summer are encouraged to attend. The meeting will include a potluck supper. Those whose last names begin with A through H are asked to bring vegetables or fruit; I through L a dessert; M through R a protein dish; and S through Z a starch dish.
