December 03, 2007

One person was ejected from a vehicle, and four other occupants were injured when a driver smashed into a house early Sunday, sending bricks flying more than 100 feet, Washington County Sheriff's Department Deputy Arnold Cerezo said in a news release.

Greg Douglas Palmer Jr., 20, of 19810 Beaver Creek Road, Hagerstown, was charged with driving under the influence after the 4:30 a.m. crash at 9503 Sharpsburg Pike, Cerezo said.

All five occupants were in stable condition at Washington County Hospital, and no one in the house was injured, he said.

Palmer also was charged with speeding, reckless driving, driving while intoxicated, and violating a license restriction, Cerezo said.
