December 01, 2007

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - A 22-year-old Martinsburg, W.Va., man was arraigned Friday on five counts of delivery of a controlled substance after police said they arranged as many separate illegal drug purchases from him since August 2007, according to Berkeley County Magistrate Court records.

Mustafa El-Hajj Jones, of 508 Winchester Ave., was arraigned by Magistrate Jim Humphrey who set a $25,000 bond for the man.

A bond was posted for Jones and he was released from custody after being arrested on Thursday, according to court records. In a complaint filed in magistrate court, Berkeley County Sheriff's Department Lt. Gary Harmison said each of the five drug deals for crack cocaine and powder cocaine with a confidential informant happened in an alleyway behind Jones' home.

The amount of money given Jones for the drugs between Aug. 29 and Nov. 20, 2007 ranged from $200 to $600, according to Harmison's complaint.
