Stamping for the holidays

Fresh holiday centerpieces

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. ? Master Gardener Chris Mayer will lead participants in creating a classic holiday centerpiece. A variety of cut evergreens and other natural elements will be provided, and enhanced with candles and ribbons. Herbs for the Holiday

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. ? Wilson College's "A Year of Herbs" will continue with "Herbs for the Holidays." Certified horticulturalist Chris Mayer will show how incorporate herbs into foods and decorations. Healthy holiday baking seminar

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Adults will learn how to make holiday baking healthier. Fashion illustration class for teens

GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Imagination Station will offer "Introduction to Fashion Illustration" for students ages 11 to 16. 2 to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 27 and Friday, Dec. 28, and 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29. Ceramics and other art classes

Hagerstown Community College will offer the following classes:

·Beginning ceramics (ART-120) and advanced ceramics (ART-220) - noon to 3:35 p.m. and 6 to 9:35 p.m. Tuesdays. Joan Bontempo will teach the noon section and Nicole and Vince Serra will teach the evening class. In beginning ceramics, students will be introduced to the techniques of basic forming (slab, coil and wheel-thrown methods), surfaces, and firing. The advanced class will help students develop a personal aesthetic in clay through construction techniques, surface treatments, and technical information.

·Three-dimensional design (ART-108) - 6 to 9:35 p.m. Thursdays. Instructor Jeff Smith will help students develop an understanding and appreciation of the interaction of form and space through the use of simple materials such as paper, cardboard, plaster and wood.

In addition to these courses, HCC also will offer its regular art classes in painting, drawing, jewelry and photography. Winter workshops

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Renfrew Museum and Park will offer the following classes:

· Saturday, Dec. 1 - Traditional Christmas ornaments. 10 a.m. to noon. Instructor is Anita Pfeuffer. The class will include German "scherenshnitte" cut-paper snowflake or heart ornaments. $20; $15 for members of Renfrew Museum and Park. Registration is required. Call 717-762-4723.
