The Community Foundation of Washington County, Inc. recently held its annual meeting, which included the election of new trustees to the board.
Elected for new three-year terms were Retired Maj. Gen. Karol Kennedy, retired state department official Dr. Carol Becker and Michael E. Hough, president of Susquehanna Bank of Maryland.
The board of trustees would like to thank retired board members Jim Piern, Paul Mellott, Jack Hershey and Jack Castle for their many years of dedicated service to the foundation.
The Community Foundation of Washington County currently has approximately $13.6 million in assets and has distributed more than $3.6 million in grants to area nonprofits since 1997.
