Sewer repairs slated on West Antietam Street in Hagerstown

November 28, 2007

At 7 a.m. today, work crews from the City of Hagerstown's Water and Sewer Department will be repairing a sanitary sewer main on West Antietam Street.

In order to allow crews to excavate the street, West Antietam Street will be closed to all traffic between South Burhans Boulevard and West Washington Street. Motorists will be forced to detour around the closure using other city streets.

Motorists approaching the work zone will encounter cones, barricades and other traffic-control devices. It is anticipated that the work will be completed and the street reopened to traffic by 4 p.m. today.

Emergency vehicles will not be able to pass through the work zone.
