Community Thanksgiving dinners

St. John's Lutheran Church at 141 S. Potomac St. in Hagerstown will host a free community Thanksgiving Day dinner from noon to 3 p.m.

A traditional menu will be served.

Meals will be delivered in Hagerstown to those with physical limitations. To arrange for meal delivery, call 301-790-1831 or 240-329-8572 by today.

For the last seven years, the dinner has been held at Grace United Methodist Church.




SMITHSBURG - Trinity Lutheran Church at 16 N. Main St. will host a free community Thanksgiving Day meal with all the trimmings and dessert Thursday from noon to 2 p.m.

The meal is an opportunity for the church to show appreciation for all of the members of the community.

BOONSBORO - Boonsboro Bible Church at 6741 Old National Pike will host its third annual free community Thanksgiving Day dinner Thursday from noon to 5 p.m.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - St. Joseph's Catholic Church School at 110 E. Stephen St. in Martinsburg will host its seventh annual free, nondenominational "All Are Welcome" community Thanksgiving Day dinner Thursday from noon to 4 p.m.

To help in planning, reservations are being accepted, but walk-ins will be welcomed.

Limited deliveries also can be arranged for shut-ins.
