Spencer takes silver medal

On Oct. 23, five members and one adviser from the Boonsboro High School FFA traveled to the 80th National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Ind.

While at the convention members had the opportunity to attend sessions, leadership workshops and a career show.

One member, Sammy Spencer, had the opportunity to compete at the national level. Sammy competed in Prepared Public Speaking and the AgriScience Fair. Sammy received a silver medal in both.

While members were not at the convention or competing, they had the opportunity to explore the city of Indianapolis.

For fun, they attended a rodeo put on by the Three Hills Rodeo Co., Montgomery Gentry concert and the PBR Xtreme Bulls Championship. The Boonsboro FFA members said they had a great time and can't wait for next year.
