Area churches sponsor Thanksgiving dinners

Trinity Lutheran Church, 16 N. Main St., Smithsburg, a free Smithsburg community Thanksgiving Day meal with all the trimmings and dessert will be served from noon to 2 p.m.

Everyone is invited; there is no cost.

The church takes this opportunity to show appreciation for all the members of the community on this special day.

St. Joseph's Catholic Church School, 110 E. Stephen St., Martinsburg, W.Va., the seventh annual free, nondenominational "All are Welcome" community Thanksgiving Day dinner will be served from noon to 4 p.m.

To help in planning, reservations are being accepted, although walk-ins will be welcomed.

Limited deliveries can also be arranged to shut-ins. Call 304-267-4893.

Boonsboro Bible Church, 6741 Old National Pike, a free community Thanksgiving Day dinner will be served from noon to 5 p.m.

St. John's Lutheran Church, 141 South Potomac St., Hagerstown, will host a free Community Thanksgiving Day dinner from noon to 3 p.m.

The traditional menu will be served.

Meals will be delivered in Hagerstown to those with physical limitations. To arrange for meal delivery call 301-790-1831 or 240-329-8572 by Wednesday.

For the previous seven years, this dinner has been held at Grace United Methodist Church. This year, the location was changed.
