Section of South Potomac to close

November 17, 2007

Beginning at 7 a.m. today, the first block of South Potomac Street in Hagerstown will be closed to all traffic between Washington and Antietam streets so work crews can remove trees, according to the city's engineering and inspections department. Vehicles approaching the work zone will be forced to detour around the area via Washington, South Mulberry and Antietam streets.

The contractor expects to reopen the street no later than 4 p.m. today. Emergency vehicles will be able to pass through the work zone during construction.
