The Washington County Health Department is offering residents a last chance to receive a flu vaccine.

The department is sponsoring an adult flu vaccination clinic today at the Elks lodge on Robinwood Drive, according to a news release.

The clinic is from 1 to 4 p.m., and no appointments are needed.

Medicare or a $20 donation are accepted as payment. No other insurance plans can be billed.

The health department has sponsored other flu vaccination clinics, including one at each of the county's high schools, said Cindy Laugelli, a department spokeswoman.

More than 800 people attended last week's clinic at the Elks lodge, she said.

The department is preparing for 1,000 people to attend today's clinic.

If you are not able to attend today's clinic, you may call the health department's nursing division at 240-313-3290 to set up an appointment for a vaccination.
