On Sunday, veterans and current members of the U.S. armed forces and their families will be admitted free of charge to Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park. Veterans and members of the military may also camp the night of Nov. 10 and 11 free of charge at the park's developed campgrounds.
Entrance fees are charged at the Great Falls Tavern area of the park, near Potomac, Md. Campground fees are charged at the park's drive-in campgrounds at McCoy's Ferry near Clear Spring, Fifteenmile Creek near Little Orleans, and Spring Gap near Cumberland, Md; and at walk-in campgrounds at Antietam Creek near Sharpsburg and Paw Paw Tunnel near Paw Paw, W.Va.
Hagerstown City Councilwoman Penny Nigh will honor Veterans Day by laying a wreath near the Veterans Monument on Memorial Boulevard on Sunday at 9 a.m.
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - On Sunday at 10:15 a.m., a community Veterans Day celebration will be held at Christian Life Church, 1400 Warm Spring Road.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The Chambersburg YMCA will hold a Veterans Day open house for all active duty military, reservists, National Guard and former service men and women Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.
Opening the day will be a wreath-laying ceremony in remembrance of all the fallen heroes who have served the military from the Chambersburg area.

SHARPSBURG - Members of Masonic Antietam Lodge 197 of Keedysville and other assembled military organizations will gather Monday, Nov. 12, to assist the American Legion in honoring the fallen veterans of all wars.

SMITHSBURG - The annual Smithsburg Veterans Day ceremony will be held Monday, Nov. 12, at 2 p.m. at Veterans Park, West Water Street, Smithsburg.
The featured speaker will be Fred Shinbur, a Maryland Department of Veteran Affairs commissioner. Chairs and a canopy will be provided.
CLEAR SPRING - The annual Veterans Day Assembly at Clear Spring High School will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 12, in the auditorium.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Pleasant View Memory Gardens will honor all veterans at a celebration Sunday at 2 p.m.
Programs and flags will be distributed to visitors as they enter the park. During the ceremony, facility representatives will present memory stones to the families of veterans who have been interred in the park over the past year.
Guest speakers are U.S. Air Force (Ret.) Brigadier General John Wright and Past Commander Department of WV Military Order of the Purple Heart, James Grose.
After the closing benediction, Wright will release doves to honor the spirit of fallen heroes and taps will be performed.
The American Legion, Potomac Post 202 will host its annual Veterans Day program on Monday, Nov. 12, at 11 a.m. at the Post home in Williamsport.
The Springfield Middle School Band will perform, Mayor James G. McCleaf II will attend, and several American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary officials will speak.
American Legion Department of Maryland 2nd Vice Commander, Orlyn Oestereich will be guest speaker.
