HAGERSTOWN - A Mega Millions ticket worth $250,000 was bought Thursday at a local Sheetz store, Maryland Lottery spokeswoman Gail Pelovitz said Monday.

No one had come forward to claim the prize from Friday night's drawing by Monday afternoon, Pelovitz said.

Whoever bought the ticket missed the $75 million jackpot by one number. The winning numbers were 1, 3, 34, 49, 52 and Mega Ball 19.

The winner will take home about $168,000 after federal and state taxes are taken out of the prize money, Pelovitz said.

Workers at the store at 16420 National Pike that sold the winning ticket had not heard about it Monday afternoon.

About 23 million tickets for Friday night's drawing were sold in the 12 states that participate in the Mega Millions game, Pelovitz said.

Someone from New York matched all six numbers Friday. Eight tickets, including a second one in Maryland, matched five numbers.

In August, a Dundalk, Md., man spilt a $330 million jackpot with three others. In September, an Essex, Md., woman and her daughter won $27 million.
