Broadfording students inducted into honor society

November 05, 2007

Broadfording Christian Academy (BCA) held its annual National Honor Society candlelight induction ceremony on Monday, Oct. 22. The following students were inducted: Rachel Cradduck, Briana Miller, Chris Usher, Josh Wright and Abigail Yeager. Senior members include Emily Ahalt, Kyle Brown, Thao Corcoran, Ethan Reynolds and Jacob Wyand.

The National Honor Society is the leader among organizations and societies that promote recognition for students who reflect outstanding accomplishments in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service and character. Thousands of schools across the country are chartered.

Members are required to maintain the standards by which they were selected, and are required to perform at least one individual and one chapter service project each year.

"The introduction of the inductees in my favorite part of the ceremony," said Elizabeth Luhn, NHS adviser for BCA. "We introduce them by sharing all of the unique awards and experiences that they have had through high school. In addition to their commendable GPAs, extracurricular activities, leadership positions and individual awards, many of them have also enjoyed worthwhile experiences that include extensive community service projects and mission trips. It's amazing what they have already accomplished at the age of 16 or 17."
