He was a graduate of Boonsboro High School and also a veteran of the U.S. Army. Ronald was employed with Brandt Cabinet for 31 years and later employed with Statton Manufacturing for 10 years until his retirement in 1985.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary O. Irving; daughter, Lisa L. Lunny of Waynesboro, Pa.; two sons, Brian W. Irving of Charles Town, W.Va., and Eric V. Irving of Hagerstown; sister, Geraldine J. Irving of Leitersbug, Md.; and grandchildren, Caysie, Connor, Alex and Caitlynn Irving.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Carroll L. Irving.

Services will be held Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, at 10 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, with the Rev. Rachel E. Black officiating.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1.

Interment will be in Beaver Creek Cemetery, Beaver Creek, Md.

BOONSBORO - Jo Cavender Johnson Mullendore, 61, of Boonsboro, was called home on Oct. 6, 2007.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Episcopal Church, 101 S. Prospect St., Hagerstown. Fr. Scott Bellows will officiate. Private interment will be in Boonsboro Cemetery.

VIRGINIA - Richard Eugen "Rick" Sampson, 48, of Virginia, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Va.

Born July 10, 1959, in Washington County, he was the son of the late Elwood T. and Elizabeth L. Sampson.

He is survived by two daughters, Cheyenne Sampson of Hagerstown and Emily Sampson of Hampstead, Md.; one sister, Jeannie Jones of Hagerstown; two brothers, Seth Sampson of Hagerstown and Charles Sampson of Manchester, Md.; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Ellen Sampson; and two brothers, Elwood T. Sampson Jr. and Robert W. Sampson.

Services and burial will held at the convenience of the family.
