Hagerstown set to spray for crows and starlings

The City of Hagerstown has hired a contractor to spray trees in the downtown area to discourage crows and starlings from roosting. The spraying will occur from 6 to 10 p.m. on Monday and Thursday and Nov. 5, 8 and 12 in the following areas:

· Franklin Street from Potomac Street to Jonathan Street

· Jonathan Street from Franklin Street two blocks to the north

· South Potomac Street from Public Square to the Washington County Free Library

· Franklin Street to the east one block

Only trees that are in the public right-of-way will be sprayed.
