St. James ends two-game slide

October 19, 2007

CUMBERLAND, Md. - Barrett Brown rushed for 164 yards, including an 80-yard scoring run in a 21-point second quarter, as St. James beat Bishop Walsh 35-12 on Thursday.

The Saints (3-4) ran for 322 yards on just 21 carries - an average of 15.3 yards per carry. Idara Umoren had 67 yards on eight carries and scored two touchdowns. David Cook added a 76-yard touchdown run.

"The offensive line just did an awesome job today," Saints coach Chick Meehan said. "When your third-string tailback can run for a 76-yard score, you gotta have a pretty good hole there."

Quarterback Mike Russ had a 12-yard touchdown run for the Saints, who snapped a two-game losing streak.
