Picking winners, flicks all part of the game

When you are a wildly famous football prognosticator, it starts to come easy.

Sure, you really toil those two hours you work a week, but then it's time to kick back and relax.

I know no better way to take it easy than to pick out a couple of movies and head back to the entertainment room in my mansion in the suburbs of Dargan.

It starts with me heading over to Dargan's new elite basketball court and video store, known as Net Flicks, to get some DVDs before heading back and taking some of the edge off of a tough day of picking winners.

The problem is, I keep thinking about football when choosing my flicks for the night.

It's tough to get the game out of my head. I got football on the brain.

I get something football on my mind, and all of a sudden I'm choosing some odd films.

I think Micheal Vick, I pick out "Dog Day Afternoon."

I think Adam 'Pacman' Jones, I'm drawn to "The Rainmaker."

I think of the Baltimore Ravens' offense and I grab "Kicking and Screaming."

Ben Roethlisberger gave me the urge to pick up "Wild Hogs."

I flash to Ricky Williams and reach for that 2006 thriller, "Red Eye."

The Detriot Lions' secondary turns me on to "Lost In Space."

Norv Turner as a head coach ... pick up "The Omen."

Then, I wonder what would help Ralph Friedgen get through this season at Maryland. Ahh, I think I'll watch "Turner and Hooch."

Thinking of Michigan coach Lloyd Carr drove me to pick up "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind."

That should carry me for a while.

Despite the obsession with football, it should be fun.

I invited Terrell Owens over as long as he brings the popcorn.

On with the picks: Last week - 16-3; Overall - 97-31.
