Five picks for books clubs

According to Erin Collazo Miller of About.com:Bestsellers, these are great picks for women's book clubs and the kind of books you'd want to pass on the your mother, sister and best friend.

· "The Time Traveler's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger. A story about Henry, an involuntary time traveler, and Clare, the woman who loves him for most of her life.

· "The Secret Life of Bees" by Sue Monk Kidd. A coming of age story set in the South in the 1960s that deals with race, love, and a woman's search for a connection with her mother who died when she was young.

· "The Red Tent" by Anita Diamant. A novel that imagines the lives of Biblical Patriarch Jacob's wives and lone daughter, Dinah.

· "Midwives" by Chris Bohjalian. An Oprah Book Club pick that tells the story of a midwife on trial for manslaughter after a home delivery goes wrong - told from the viewpoint of the midwife's daughter.

· "Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood" by Rebecca Wells. A story of a woman's quest to reconcile with and understand her mother.
