Power restored after crash leaves 1,500 in Hagerstown area without electricity

About 1,500 Hagerstown area Allegheny Energy customers were without power this morning after a vehicle hit a utility pole at the corner of Md. 63 and Landfill Road, a company spokesman said.

The accident happened at about 7 a.m.

Power was restored by 9:30 a.m., the spokesman said.
