Women's Ride For Build

October 17, 2007

Women motorcyclists gathered in May to help raise money for Women Build, which has constructed houses for Habitat for Humanity in Washington County.

The 88-mile ride through the county started at the Hagerstown 10 Cineplex on Leitersburg Pike and ended with a picnic dinner at Washington County Regional Park.

Gidget Gallahan, who organized the ride, said the number of women riding motorcyles is growing rapidly.

Some male riders were also on hand to offer their support for the project.
