CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. ? Three motorcycles that fled from a Pennsylvania State trooper Monday evening were involved in a four-vehicle crash in the area of Fifth Avenue, troopers said.

After the trooper tried to make a traffic stop on the three motorcycles, they fled north along Fifth Avenue and lost control due to excessive speed, troopers alleged in a news release. One of the motorcycles collided with a vehicle that was traveling south along Fifth Avenue, troopers said.

The two other motorcycles left the road and finally stopped along the west side of Fifth Avenue.

Kennyata Q. Edwards, 25, of Fayetteville, Pa., was on the motorcycle that collided with the other vehicle, troopers said. Edwards was flown to Altoona Regional Hospital in Altoona, Pa., troopers said. A hospital spokeswoman said Tuesday morning that Edwards was not listed as a patient.

The driver of the vehicle Edwards collided with, Judith E. Kopsch, 62, of Chambersburg, Pa., was taken to Chambersburg Hospital to be treated for minor injuries, troopers said.
