HYATTSTOWN, Md. - A Hagerstown man died in a car accident early Saturday on Interstate 270 in Hyattstown, Maryland State Police said.
Andre Trinh, 57, was killed when the car he was driving crashed into the back of a tow truck at about 12:30 a.m., according to a news release from the State Police's Rockville, Md., Barrack.
Trinh was driving north on I-270 in a 2003 Toyota Tundra when, police allege, the 2004 Ford tow truck ahead of him attempted to make a U-turn onto an emergency vehicle crossover north of Comus Road, according to the release.
A passenger in the tow truck was taken to Shady Grove Hospital with minor injuries, and the driver of the tow truck was not injured, police said.
