Work continues on Wilson Boulevard

Work crews will perform milling and overlay work on West Wilson Boulevard between Summit Avenue and South Potomac Street beginning Monday at 7 a.m., according to a City of Hagerstown press release.

The tentative schedule for the work, weather permitting, is as follows:

· Milling work on the eastbound lanes from Summit Avenue to South Potomac Street is scheduled to begin Monday at 7 a.m. and is expected to last about two days.

Eastbound traffic will be narrowed to one lane, and parking will not be permitted on the right side of the eastbound lanes.

· Milling work on the westbound lanes from South Potomac Street to Summit Avenue is scheduled to begin Wednesday at 7 a.m. and is expected to last about two days.

Westbound traffic will be narrowed to one lane, and parking will not be permitted on the right side of the westbound lanes.

· Overlay work at the intersection of Maryland Avenue and West Wilson Boulevard is scheduled to begin Monday, Oct. 22, at 9 a.m. and is expected to last one day.

Northbound Maryland Avenue traffic will be detoured onto Downsville Road and South Potomac Street. Southbound Maryland Avenue traffic and eastbound and westbound Wilson Boulevard traffic will be detoured to First Street.

Emergency vehicles will not be able to pass through the construction area while work is being completed that day.

· Overlay work on West Wilson Boulevard between Summit Avenue and South Potomac Street is scheduled to begin Tuesday, Oct. 23, at 7 a.m.

Traffic will be narrowed to one lane, but will be maintained through the work site. Parking will be removed as needed. The work is expected to be completed by Friday, Oct. 26.
