Toy train exhibit

Rock concert

Switchfoot, a five-man Christian rock band from San Diego, will perform. The band plans to play songs from the six albums it has produced, including "Oh! Gravity," which topped Billboard's Christian Album chart this year. Opening the show will be Ruth, a Christian rock band from Washington state. Today, 7 p.m. Shippensburg University's H. Canines on the Canal

The event is a fundraiser for the Humane Society of Washington County. The walk will be followed by demonstrations, games and contests. Pumpkin Festival

The 14th annual Renfrew Pumpkin Festival features a pumpkin-hurling trebuchet, pumpkin carving, a pumpkin-pie baking contest, children's activities and music. MasterWorks I

The Maryland Symphony Orchestra will present its first MasterWorks concert of the season.
