Woman faces murder charges in Hagerstown man's shooting death

The Hagerstown Police Department arrested a Hagerstown woman Wednesday night in connection with the Friday shooting death of 23-year-old David Leonard Moore, Sgt. Paul Kifer said this morning.

Moore, of 105 E. Washington St., was found Friday afternoon in the first-floor hallway of an apartment building at 101 East Avenue, The Herald-Mail reported.

Michelle Lenea Hebron, 23, of 101 East Avenue Apt. 3, was charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder and other crimes, Kifer said.

Hebron and Moore were acquaintances, he said.

Investigators identified Hebron was a suspect Tuesday and she was arrested at 8:49 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of North Locust Street, Kifer said.

Hebron was also charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, carrying a handgun on her person, use of a handgun in the commission of a felony and reckless endangerment, Kifer said.

Investigators plan to interview more people and are still trying to piece together motive, Kifer said.
