Donations sought to support Frederick community programs

FREDERICK, Md. - The Frederick Community Action Agency is seeking donations to support its various programs that assist people who are low-income or homeless.

Health Care Clinic needs personal hygiene supplies such as shampoo, towels, washcloths, razors, shaving cream, deodorant, toothbrushes and toothpaste, and child-care items such as disposable diapers and baby food.

Frederick Foodbank needs non-perishable foods such as canned fruits and vegetables, juices and drinks, canned meats and fish, pasta products, canned soups, rice and other staples. Frozen foods such as meats and vegetables are also accepted.

Frederick Soup Kitchen needs institutional-sized canned foods (No. 10 cans) such as fruits, vegetables, and meats; and prepared foods such as leftovers from parties and banquets.

Frederick Transitional Shelter for Homeless Families needs sheets for twin beds, pillowcases, towels, washcloths, pajamas and bathrobes for adults and children, and disposable diapers.
